Job Description

My client is a full-service supplier of soft home textile products seeking a talented and experienced Design Director (Window) to join our creative team. Its specializes in designing, creating, and manufacturing window curtains, bedding ensembles, shower curtains, and decorative pillows for retailers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico

Responsibilities

· Research and identify textile trends through comp shopping, trend magazines, and shopping open and domestic markets.

· Develop content with the ability to present to retail customers.

· Manage and inspire a team of overseas designers.

· Effectively communicate with all company levels including Sales, Design, Product Development, and Sourcing.

· Create detailed Tech Packs for the Production of all new developments.

· Builds product from the ground up and follows it through the complete life cycle.

· Conceptualizes, directs, and executes complete showroom resets twice yearly.

· Overseas and domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

· Experienced in Window textile design. Window is a must.

· Knowledge in textile CAD design.

· Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

· Expert color sense.

· Knowledge of Fabric Weaving, Printing, Production Techniques, and Spec details.

· Must be able to give directions, interpret ideas/concepts, and delegate to overseas design teams.

· Ability to interpret sample designs and develop them into custom designs.

· Experienced with branding and packaging.

· Reliable team player, self-motivated starter, and effective problem solver.

· High priority will be placed on organization and attention to detail.

· Ability to travel overseas.
