LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our real estate client in Wilmington, DE. This onsite role offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $95,000 and involves overseeing the financial bookkeeping and accounting operations of the company's real estate portfolio in an updated, friendly office environment.

Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Wilmington, DE

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors. Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure alignment on financial processes and goals. Provide support and mentorship to junior accounting staff.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
