Catholic Charities of Buffalo has an exciting opportunity for a full-time or part-time Nutrition Assistant within our Nutritional Health program. Our programs include comprehensive counseling services for all ages, basic emergency assistance including operating 8 food pantries, mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, educational and job readiness services, services to older adults, marriage counseling, immigration and refugee assistance, and a variety of programs that address prevention and treatment of a number of family issues. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assigned clerical and nutrition assistant duties. Determine the eligibility of participants for the program following the policies and procedures of the NYSDOH WIC Program Manual. Works at sites, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION : High School Diploma or equivalent, Licensed Practical Nurse.
EXPERIENCE: Basic Computer Skills. One year of experience working with children is preferred .
**Must have reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to WIC clinics, training, and meeting locations (sometimes in the middle of the workday). Must provide reliable internet when working remotely.
Compensation range available may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.
