Job Description
Description Summary: The Electrician Apprentice reports indirectly to the Electrical Superintendent, directly to the Electrician Journeyman and supports the Journeyman in the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of electrical systems by handling tools, testing malfunctioning equipment and identifying defects. The incumbent is responsible for completing electrical wiring tasks, alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment following manuals, schematics, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and code.
Essential Job Functions: - Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code
- Assists Journeyman with installation tasks
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
- H2S Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
Preferred Qualifications: - Two (2) year diploma or degree in electrical technology
- One (1) year electrical experience in

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Basic knowledge and experience use of power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
