Position Description

Adena Lakeland- Welder/ Fabricator

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Examines detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements

• Cuts, rolls, shapes, bends, molds, spins, heats, or hammers metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies

• Sets up and/or operates hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment

• Assembles parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding or bolting

• Performs routine inspections on assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of defects or needed repairs

• Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

• Possibility to learn to run computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the rolePhysically capable of handling heavy materials, tools and machinesMust obtain the necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipmentMust maintain a valid driver's license or transportation to and from workGood hand-eye coordinationAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work independently with little direction when applicableAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyMust have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructionsAbility to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to read drawingsAbility to accurately read a tape measureAbility to pass a weld testExperience prepping and applying a shop coat of prime paint a plusPossible shift flexibility as work dictatedMust have the ability to work nights, holidays and/or weekends when requiredMust be available for "Call Out", "Emergency," and "Outage" work
