About the Role

The Company is seeking a Consumer Banking Product Risk Manager at the Vice President level to join their Risk Management and Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding product and capabilities teams with a strong risk management perspective, particularly in the area of consumer deposits. This includes the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with new initiatives, as well as the responsibility for escalating critical issues to the Chief Risk Officer and the risk committee. The role demands a professional with a comprehensive understanding of consumer banking products and services, who can serve as a trusted advisor to product development teams, and who is adept at maintaining independence while representing the interests of internal stakeholders in risk management. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a risk or oversight function, or a relevant deposit product role. Experience with digital and mobile banking, payments, and emerging technologies is essential, as is familiarity with agile development methodology. The role requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to defend positions with quantitative analysis, and proficiency in working with both business and technically oriented individuals. Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence are also key attributes. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, confident, and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
