What we need: We pride ourselves on our creative brands and products and being a Designer at Mohawk means being on the cutting edge of fashion in flooring. We need someone with a passion in textiles and surface patterned designs to support our Design and Development departments. This is an opportunity to grow, learn and create more! Advanced training will be provided.
What you'll do: - Use artistic skills, design principles and machine perimeters to develop technically accurate artwork in response to design requests, specific instruction or generic briefs while maintaining acceptable lead times
- Engage in artwork reviews, mentoring sessions and team discussions for continuous development and increased knowledge of practical design skills, company and industry standards, and internal and external design expectations
- Use industry-standard software to create technically accurate and aesthetically innovative designs for specific machine types
- Work within Mohawk's copyright policies
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Mohawk's design guidelines, internal processes and technologies for daily use
What you have: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (Textile, Graphic Design, or Fine Art preferred)
- Understanding of design and color principles
- Proven artistic achievement and design portfolio
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Texcelle, etc. (preferred)

- Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form
- Combining enthusiasm and creativity to help bring new ideas to the drawing board
