Learn more at GCE.org. Position Overview The Technical Writer III writes various articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document. Ensures content is of high quality and conforms with standards. Research new developments in industry-standard tools and current best practices for creating online help systems. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree (may substitute equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum of seven (7) to nine (9) years of experience in technical writing. Experience with the following development tools: Adobe RoboHelp development tool, HTML, XML, SQL, Relational databases, Java, Oracle, Visio, SharePoint, Adobe, Acrobat Professional, Screen capture and editing tools. Advanced proficiency level with MS Office Products, including styles, headers, footers, tables, fields, contents, index, and cross-references. Ability to attend technical meetings and understand and communicate technical information. Excellent oral and written communication and English grammar skills. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a public trust clearance or higher. U.S. Citizenship (required per government contract). Compensation: The hourly compensation range for this position is $48.1673-$53.7404. Location Requirements: Remote employees must reside in the following states: AK, AL, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, OH, OK, RI, TN, WA.
