Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team! This fully remote position (with a requirement to live in the Charlotte Metro area) will be a key part of the financial team, managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and addressing inquiries. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly and annual financial closing and consolidation processes, ensuring precise and thorough reporting of our financial position.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
Conduct in-depth reviews and analyses of various income statement accounts, ensuring consistency and clarity.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper accounting practices are followed.
Research and determine the most appropriate accounting treatment for transactions in your assigned areas, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize accounting processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
Support key accounting and finance initiatives, such as improving the statutory audit process and managing lease accounting, with a focus on recommending and implementing improvements.
Work closely with the external audit team to ensure seamless audit processes.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in account reconciliation is essential.
Solid experience with balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.
Demonstrated expertise in performing bank reconciliations.
A strong understanding of the general ledger and the ability to maintain it efficiently.
Ability to manage and prepare journal entries with accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data.
Experience managing the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Knowledge of NetSuite software is highly desirable.
