CTR Group is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

Position Overview:
This role involves setting up and operating various CNC and automated machinery to fabricate precision sheet metal parts. You will interpret engineering drawings, produce parts with multiple bends, and ensure quality through in-process inspections. An ideal candidate has extensive experience with CNC press brakes, lasers, and other metal fabrication equipment, as well as strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand precision sheet metal fabrication, including flat layouts, bend deductions, and tooling
• Interpret engineering drawings or sketches to fabricate multi-bend parts and utilize insertion hardware
• Set up and operate CNC Fiber Optic Lasers, CNC Press Brakes, CNC Plasma machines, NC band saws, powered rollers, and hydraulic shears
• Program, enter data, select tools, set up, and operate CNC Press Brakes with minimal supervision
• Use hand, power, and measuring tools (tapes, calipers, micrometers, drills, countersinks, rollers, grinders) proficiently
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure compliance with required specifications, using precision measuring instruments

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Press Brakes and related fabrication equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience fabricating, fitting, and assembling precision parts based on sketches or drawings
• Strong oral communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• U.S. Citizenship required
