Position Description: The ServiceNow Developer role seeks a highly skilled professional adept in crafting, configuring, and deploying ServiceNow solutions to enhance business process automation and service management. This comprehensive position involves not only the development and customization of ServiceNow applications but also ensuring their integration and compliance with security standards. Ideal candidates should be proficient in web technologies, understand API-based system integration, and have database technology experience. They must demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a capacity for innovative solution development within the ServiceNow framework. Additionally, advanced ServiceNow certifications and familiarity with integration platforms, web development, automation tools, and security protocols are highly valued, underscoring the role's technical depth and the organization's commitment to maintaining high standards in service delivery and operational efficiency. Requirements This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • - Participates in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations
  • - Participates in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents
  • - Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the lifecycle
  • - Allocates real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components
  • - Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues and conflicts
  • - Develops System Architecture and System Design documentation
  • - Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • - Participates in and initiates concept development and trade-off studies
  • - Prepares program and test specifications
  • - Prepares test procedures and data
  • - Selects performance levels of components and subsystems
  • - Directs the design of information management equipment and systems
  • - Describes interfaces among various subsystems
  • - Devises appropriate tests to use in evaluating, debugging, and checking of equipment and systems for accurate and dependable conformance to specifications
  • - Prepares complete documentation of methods, procedures, and design
  • - Supervises revisions and changes
  • - Assists with implementation of combined hardware/software systems
  • - Escalates issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.
Required Skills: The following are REQUIRED for this position:
  • - Public Trust Clearance by start date.
  • - ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
  • - Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • - Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are DESIRED for this position: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (MUST HAVE) ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (DESIRED) ITILv4 Certification (MUST HAVE) Integration Tools: Experience with integration middleware or platforms like MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or similar, for connecting ServiceNow with external systems. Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries or frameworks such as AngularJS or React, for developing custom user interfaces in ServiceNow. APIs: Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services for integrating ServiceNow with other applications and services. Security Tools: Understanding of security tools and practices to ensure the security and compliance of ServiceNow applications, including vulnerability assessment tools and security frameworks. Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Slack, and ServiceNow. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
