National Grid is hiring a Senior Supervisor, LNG for our Gas organization in Dorchester, MA.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for the safety, reliability, security, and integrity of the gas distribution system through the daily supervision and organization of operations personnel to complete job tasks while complying with Company and Regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

1. Schedule plant shift personnel to provide timely, reliable, and efficient peak shaving requirements.
2. Oversee the operational workload of the supervised team, directing activities of allocated staff to ensure proper and timely maintenance of plant facilities against agreed program of work.
3. Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling, and team building to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently.
4. Communicate maintenance, operating, and training information, as well as changes to procedures and plant equipment to relevant stakeholders to ensure that records are contemporary and accurate.
5. Ensure the supervised team complies with safety standards, policies, and processes to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff.
6. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations by providing up-to-date information on National Grid policies, processes, and programs to regulatory bodies.
7. Support junior team members as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience preferred.
2. Working knowledge of information systems and technologies related to field operations (MAXIMO, MDSI, CWQ, etc.) preferred.
3. Proven demonstration of quality labor relations skills including interpretation of contract language, resolution of grievances, and issues related to sickness and poor standards of work, and implementation of corrective action where necessary preferred.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
5. Requires knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
6. Solid planning and organizing skills required.
7. Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.

More Information

Salary: $117,000 - $138,000 a year.
