Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Details Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical processes, coding standards, guidelines, and best practices across major inpatient and outpatient departments to lead hospital and clinic design and planning effectively.
- Stay informed about current trends in healthcare delivery, innovative strategic planning approaches, and the impact of emerging technologies in medical equipment and communication.
- Collaborate with clients to define the goals and objectives of healthcare facilities.
- Develop functional space programs and planning strategies based on patient volume and facility requirements.
- Work closely with end users to outline process flows, identify critical adjacencies, and formulate design solutions tailored to their needs.
- Lead healthcare planning efforts from the Concept phase through Design Development, ensuring design and technical solutions meet quality control and interdisciplinary coordination standards.
- Partner with architects, interior designers, and project managers to deliver cohesive and integrated designs.
- Oversee planning team deliverables in alignment with the overall project schedule, working closely with project managers.
- Guide, supervise, and mentor junior planners and support staff, fostering professional growth in collaboration with project managers.
- Contribute to the advancement of firm-wide healthcare practices by developing and refining standards and guidelines.
- Participate in marketing efforts, including proposal development and client interviews.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, with 10–15+ years of healthcare planning experience, emphasizing clinical planning leadership and a strong understanding of architectural design and code requirements.
- Proven experience leading architectural programming and healthcare planning processes, including the development of strategic campus master plans, departmental master plans, and operationally reflective departmental floor plans.
- Demonstrated success in facilitating Clinical User Group meetings to build consensus and support effective decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, and Bluebeam is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
- Demonstrated creativity, passion, and enthusiasm for healthcare facility design and planning, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, team-building, and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to perform all essential duties efficiently and effectively.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisive and effective decisions.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Outstanding coaching and consulting skills, with self-assurance and the ability to tailor content and interactions to suit the audience’s needs.
