Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator.

This role ensures a culture of safety, compliance, and proactive risk management across all project sites. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in safety protocols and OSHA standards within the construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to identify hazards, evaluate safety risks, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Training and Education: Deliver safety training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and new hires, focusing on hazard awareness, proper equipment use, and emergency protocols.
  • Incident Reporting: Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries. Recommend corrective actions and implement preventative measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct regular audits of safety equipment, practices, and documentation.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and update emergency response plans; provide on-site assistance in case of emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a safety coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and risk assessment processes.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field experience (not required).
