A bit about us: We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Permanent Plant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity. If you have a proven track record in the heavy manufacturing sector, expertise in flow manufacturing, and a solid understanding of 5S lean/six sigma principles, we would love to hear from you.

Job Details Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance, ensuring production tasks, goals, and milestones are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
3. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
4. Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts, incorporating continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S lean/six sigma.
5. Ensure safety regulations and company policies are adhered to, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
6. Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff to ascertain that all required materials are available for production.
7. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions in a timely manner.
8. Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a plant management role.
2. A solid understanding of production management, flow manufacturing, and 5S lean/six sigma principles.
3. Previous knowledge/experience within metals manufacturing is preferred.
4. Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills, with an ability to motivate others.
5. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
6. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
7. Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
8. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
9. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, with a strong focus on customer service.
10. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
