Our integrated approach through Texas Oncology, Texas Breast Specialists, and Texas Urology Specialists ensures that patients receive the best possible care close to home. Your Role: As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, performing essential tasks related to medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management. You will help uphold the highest standards of patient care while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate proactive and enthusiastic engagement in your work. Manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure. Verify medication orders for completeness and accuracy. Accurately read and interpret prescriptions. Confirm patient details and verify physician authorization. Ensure insurance approvals for prescriptions are in place. Calculate correct dosage volumes and conversions as needed. Assist pharmacists in medication distribution and patient care. Process new prescriptions in the pharmacy system as directed. Handle prescription refills, including confirmations and claims adjudication. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace. Ensure efficient and accurate order processing. Support the accuracy of software templates. Complete additional tasks assigned by management. Adhere to all government regulations, including HIPAA. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment. Valid Pharmacy Technician License in Texas. Physical Demands: This role requires a full range of motion, including manual dexterity, and the ability to work for extended periods while sitting or standing.
