Serve as chair on safety committees/councils, addressing material handling and inventory-related concerns. Maintain inventory of safety equipment and supplies, ensuring proper documentation and tracking. Coordinate and present training programs in general safety, facility training, material handling techniques, and specialty areas. Drive participation in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations and gather data to provide site leadership with a focus on safety activities. Conduct the safety portion of New Employee Orientation, emphasizing material handling and inventory control procedures. Ensure site compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental standards and requirements. Track and report activities identified by the site Safety & Health Improvement Plan (SHIP), including cycle counting and inventory accuracy checks. Coordinate with the Plant Manager on facility deficiencies, monthly safety inspections/audits, and inventory management practices. Ensure regulatory agency inspections are coordinated, deficiencies minimized and corrected, and all inventory records maintained accurately. Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits, regulatory requirements (OSHA 300, TIER, etc.), and inventory control paperwork. Collaborate with Engineering, Process Engineering, and Maintenance to update necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe work practices and efficient material handling. Maintain filing systems regarding worker training, safety, and inventory documentation. Participate in institutional professional development and training focused on EHS and inventory management. Participate in developing safety guidelines and related environmental health and safety communications, as well as inventory control procedures. Practice safe working techniques and reinforce safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company. Provide advice, assistance, and management to ensure effective EHS processes and inventory management practices are implemented. Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs and inventory control practices at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach. Lead investigation of near miss and injury incidents and assist with developing and tracking the corrective actions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
