Job Description

Come join an established family-owned bottle manufacturer in Simi Valley, California as a Maintenance Technician ! Headquartered in California and in business for over 55 years our client is a one-stop shop for their clients packaging needs. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receives machine priorities from the Maintenance Manager.
• Install and wire industrial equipment as directed by Maintenance Manager
• Routinely performs machinery checks ensuring all safety devices are installed and functioning properly.
• Conduct periodic checks of all electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
• Identifying and reporting potential equipment or building issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions.
• Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
• Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.
• The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.
• Assists with training of junior technical staff.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a technical, hands-on Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position
• 3+ years of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus**
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Self-motivated, can work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 

Compensation Range:

• $30-$38/hour
