Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and supervise striping projects using Long Liner trucks and Walk-Behind Machines.
Review and interpret project blueprints, delegating tasks to team members effectively.
Maintain open communication with project inspectors and stakeholders to ensure compliance and
quality: familiarity with VDOT standards is an advantage.
Set up and monitor safe work zones, adhering to company and state guidelines.
Ensure that all crew members are equipped with and always utilizing required safety gear.
Oversee the cleaning and preparation of asphalt surfaces before striping begins.
Safely handle and apply hot materials for binding and striping.
Provide updates and feedback to the Operations Manager regarding project progress.
Maintain a collaborative team environment, ensuring efficient use of resources and clear
communication among crew members.
Maintain an impeccable driving record and be flexible with work hours.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
The ideal candidate should possess:
2+ years' experience is required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Demonstrated leadership experience in highway or roadway construction.
Knowledge of road striping procedures and safety standards.
Excellent attendance and a strong sense of responsibility.
Pass a comprehensive background check & drug screening that meets Federal DOT requirements.
Strong understanding of job site safety and the hazards associated with roadway work.
Ability to take initiative and work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
Physically able to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
CDL license preferred, especially for operating Long Liner and marker trucks.
Flexibility to work evenings, dependent on the project, 8p - 5a
