This position is based out of our Burlington, MA headquarters location, where we work a required hybrid schedule of in-office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and remote on Wednesdays and Fridays and working hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST.

What You’ll Accomplish

We have an opening for a Global Logistics Coordinator to join our team, based out of our Burlington office and reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and optimizing all logistics operations of the organization and ensuring our great products make it where they need to go across the globe on time! This role involves coordinating shipments, overseeing customs compliance, and ensuring timely delivery of goods across global markets. In detail, you will:

1. Act as the primary point of contact for logistics-related inquiries and issues by collaborating with freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
2. Work cross-functionally with our internal teams including customer service, regulatory services, planning procurement, and warehousing to align on logistics strategies.
3. Develop and maintain tracking tools for the internal Wellness Pet team to communicate any changes in transit and visibility into ETA’s
4. Process routings for customers and liaise with third-party partners to resolve chargebacks, track and trace, and maintain reports for inbound and outbound freight
5. Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics to prepare regular reports on logistics KPIs.
6. Support the budgeting and monthly forecasting processes and identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
7. Assess potential risks in all logistics procedures; develop and implement documented processes or mitigation strategies.
8. Respond to customer inquiries and make referrals appropriately.
9. Stay informed about geopolitical changes and their impact on logistics operations.
10. Support the Import/Export Coordinator with adhering to customs regulations and preparing and submitting necessary documentation for customs clearance.

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone who:

This position is ideally suited for an individual who has extensive experience working in global logistics or supply chain coordination. It is desired that the individual has also dealt with import/export handling for food-grade products. In addition, you will need:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or 5 years of relevant work experience
2. 3-5 years of experience working in logistics or supply chain coordination, preferably in a global context.
3. Strong understanding of customs regulations and international shipping procedures.
4. Proven experience coordinating and tracking the movement of shipments using a transportation management system
5. The ability to efficiently manage and prioritize a high volume of emails daily, ensuring timely responses and effective communication across departments.
6. Previous experience working with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
7. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
8. The ability to analyze and present data to multiple levels of the organization
9. Well-developed organizational and communication skills with a desire to work in a transaction processing and fast-paced environment
10. The ability to be proactive while working independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relationship management abilities
