About Can Code Communities: Can Code Communities is a mission-driven non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide for underserved communities around the state, with a growing footprint across the country. We focus on providing diverse and inclusive digital skills training to empower individuals and promote economic mobility. Position Summary: As the sole development professional, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to secure revenue from various sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. Working with the volunteer Development Committee, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing the donor lifecycle to achieve our financial goals. Overview of Key Responsibilities: Fund Development Office Strategy Launch a Fund Development Office with operational and financial strategies. Philanthropic Development and Solicitations Develop and execute a development plan to meet a first-year revenue goal of $500,000. Donor Relationship Management Identify historical and new donors and build strong relationships with them. Grant Writing and Compliance Research, prepare, and submit grant proposals. Giving Program Launches and Execution Plan and implement an Annual Giving Campaign. Data Management and Reporting Manage CRM processes for accurate tracking and reporting. Analyze data and prepare reports. Collaboration and Team Leadership Align fund development initiatives with organizational goals and provide leadership to the Development Committee Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in fund development. Proven track record in donor and grantor engagement. Ability to work in a start-up environment. Knowledge of fund development best practices and trends. Proficiency in CRM and giving platforms (e.g., Donor Box, GiveGab). Familiarity with administrative and communication tools (Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, Teams). Comfortable conducting face-to-face meetings and engaging in extensive in-person networking. Non-profit fundraising certification helpful Familiarity with Workforce Development preferred Working Conditions: Location: Hybrid Travel required for donor meetings and events.
