This role contributes to Broadway.com's mission of providing compelling, high-quality content to theater fans worldwide, helping to maintain its position as a leading voice in Broadway coverage. By creating content that resonates with diverse theatergoers, the writer will support the growth of the brand and its audience engagement. Duties and Responsibilities Content Creation:

  • Pitch and write feature stories, interviews, and profiles about Broadway's stars, shows, and productions.
  • Craft in-depth, well-researched, and engaging articles that appeal to both theater enthusiasts and casual fans.
  • Conduct interviews with actors, directors, and other theater professionals.
  • Develop unique story angles and fresh perspectives on Broadway-related topics.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Broadway.com's editorial standards, voice, and style.
Research and Collaboration:
  • Research Broadway shows, industry trends, and historical context to enhance articles.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to align content with broader editorial goals.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in the Broadway and theater world.
SEO and Digital Best Practices:
  • Implement SEO strategies to optimize articles for search engines and maximize reach.
  • Stay updated on digital media best practices, including content formatting and optimization.
Deadline Management:
  • Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality writing standards.
  • Manage multiple writing assignments at once, balancing long-term projects and urgent deadlines.

Physical Demands The physical demands of this job are primarily sedentary, with regular use of a computer and phone. No special physical demands are required, but occasional travel for interviews or theater events may be necessary. Work Environment This is a remote position, and the employee works from home or another location of their choosing. Minimal exposure to work-related hazards.
