About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Medical Affairs Director with a focus on Psychiatry to lead the planning and execution of all medical strategies for its psychiatry portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for deep collaboration with cross-functional and medical leadership to define and implement clear vision and strategies for priority assets in the therapy area. This includes ensuring that tactical plans are in line with strategic objectives, compliantly supporting clinical development and commercial efforts, and partnering with HEOR on real-world data generation. The role also involves oversight of Psychiatry-related field medical teams, advancing key medical affairs and scientific research initiatives, and building strong relationships with KOLs. The Executive Director will be expected to be a highly effective communicator and collaborator, with a passion for education and addressing unmet medical needs in the field of psychiatry. Applicants must have an MD with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, and clinical practice experience in psychiatry is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an expert in psychiatry, recognized as a thought leader in the field, and have prior leadership experience in a pharmaceutical setting. The role requires an individual with excellent leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, who can influence business and industry issues. The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring that all medical affairs strategies and initiatives are in compliance with regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards. A proactive and innovative approach, the ability to work in a cross-functional team, and a commitment to the values of the company are essential.
