Electrical Maintenance / Reliability Engineer

(junior to mid-level)

Pasedena, TX

Hybrid position

A large oil refinery complex needs an electrical reliability / maintenance engineer. This strategic and senior position. Person will be or become a subject matter expert in the facility for the operation power generation/utility systems.

Key points:

• Experience with high voltage (130kv+) on down at an appropriate refining/chemical/gen site
• Extensive practical and applied knowledge and experience in standards such as: NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NETA, NEMA, etc.
• Experience with generation/cogen, relays, switchgear, etc

Some Specifics :

• Work within the integrated power generation and distribution system in the complex: multiple turbine generation systems including cogens and high-voltage power fed from the area grid
• Work withy and in site RCM program
• Work between other colleagues in senior process and electrical engineering and project roles, project management, automation/ I&E, maintenance and reliability.
• Develop the long term reliability program for the power system.
• General: work in power distribution (not automation).
• Support site MOCs programs, design engineering ,etc
• Work with voltages ranging from: outlets voltages, 480v, 4.1kv, some high voltage.
• Work in all areas of electrical safety:
• Arc Flash (NFPA 70)

Required

• Degree in electrical engineering preferred; experience, certifications, etc, more important
• At least 10 years of experience in refining/chemicals and power
• Senior position available with more experience
• Experience in formal reliability - prefer RCM
• Must be able to work legally and without sponsorship/visa now or in the future in the U.S.

Salary $140k - $155k, bonus
