Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking a qualified communications network engineer for one of our large federal clients.

Position: Communications Network Engineer
Location: Fully Onsite in Washington DC
Compensation: $50-$55/ hr
Job type: 1+ year contract
Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
Job Duties:

• Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
• Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
• Schedule conversions and cutovers.
• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
• Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

Job Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance
• CompTIA SEC+ ce certification or like for 8570 requirement for IATII
• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field AND 4 years minimum of IT Experience OR 8 years minimum IT experience if no degree.
• CCNA certification
